Abstract

International trade is expanding significantly, accompanied by accelerated globalization and the constant opening of new markets. However, there is still the occurrence of illegal practices and fraud that persist in many institutions, damaging their reputations and business with commercial partners. In this context, the present work develops a bibliographic study about the importance of compliance and corporate governance programs for the regulation of international trade. The focus is to address the issue based on international agreements, certifications and quality protocols, especially OAS certification, which attribute to those who have greater reliability, transparency and guarantees in negotiations in the context of international trade. Such regulatory practices have raised the standards of quality and integrity of the institutions that operate in the foreign market, generating reductions in the risks of negotiations, increasing profits and providing the end consumer with products and services with excellence and agility.
